Crusher Dust
(Man made sand)
A 7mm minus graded material is used as support for paving blocks or for screening areas under slabs.
The material is readily compactable using vibrating plates and also easily spread by shovel, screed board or bobcat.
• Bedding material for paving blocks in landscaped areas or courtyards.
• Leveling material for under slabs. For minor adjustments in construction levels.
• Foundation material for water tanks or concrete slabs
• Conditioning material for garden beds
• Excellent additive for citrus trees, olive trees and roses
Railway Ballast
(35mm – 63mm)
Single size aggregate used in rail track construction.
Generally has a nominal size of 63mm or 53mm.
Can be used as a very coarse drainage material.
DGB 20 Road Base
Our 20mm minus road base material is a graded road base material made from Basalt. Maximum particle size is below 20mm and then evenly graded to a sand particle size.
The material is readily compactable to 100% standard compaction tests. The material is well graded, binds well and is resistant to wearing.
Rip Rap
(>100mm)
Rock riprap is used where erosion potential is often high.
Gunnedah Quarry supplied Rip Rap for the new Tangaratta Bridge on the Oxley Highway, west of Tamworth.
Stemming
(15mm – 25mm)
This product is primarily used in a borehole on top of or between separate charges of explosive material to confine explosive gases in the bore hole or to separate charges of explosive material in the same borehole.
Excellent as drainage rock, for rubble drains, landscaping rock, driveways and as a foundation material.
Gabion Rock
(100mm – 200mm)
Extremely durable, frost proof and non-degradable.
Its angular structure allows for random interlocking, less deformation of the Gabion face and a pleasing appearance when finished (if used in landscaping.
DGS 40 Road Base/Sub Base
DGS40 – Densely graded subbase compliant with RTA 3051 and AUSPEC
Common Uses: Car parks, road/pavement construction, driveways, footpaths, under curb & channel, under concrete slabs, hard stand areas, access tracks and under pavers.
Road Paving Aggregates
(7mm to 20mm. *7mm shown)
Aggregates are produced to specification and are used in the production of concrete and asphalt.
Typical aggregate sizes used are 7mm, 10mm, 14mm and 20mm.
